Shelbi Goble, MA, LMHC

Shelbi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from the IU Herron School of Art and Design and her Master of Arts in Sports Psychology from Capella University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Sport and Performance Psychology.

Shelbi’s passion is working with athletes to help them strengthen both their mental health and performance, though she also works with individuals (athletes and non-athletes alike) ages 14 and older. She specializes in depression, mood disorders, relational problems, women’s issues, self-esteem, grief and loss, and trauma-related concerns.

With over ten years of experience working with diverse populations in residential settings, schools, assisted living facilities, and private practice, Shelbi brings a well-rounded perspective to her work. She employs an eclectic approach, primarily integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals become more comfortable with difficult thoughts, feelings, and sensations, reduce avoidance, and align their lives with their values, thereby finding healthier coping strategies.
